Excellent comfortable room including air con, bathroom, beds. Clean and top notch. Friendly and helpful staff both in reception and at breakfast. Will never stay with another hotel in Cologne.
This is not a one-off. Consistent quality as I have been coming here since 2007 and still the same high standard.
You can't beat the location with a couple of minutes walk to train station and Dome.
My very best recommendations!

I've booked a room for a nice weekend trip in Cologne/Köln. The staff was very helpful and polite. The room had enough space, was very clean and had an own TV environment. Breakfast was quite good. There is a good choice of everything from bread to cereal to pancakes. They have an awesome coffeemaker. The location is also pretty neat. Near the Dom, Central Station and the City centre. It is quiet and pretty safe because it is near a police station. In all I want to recommend Lindner Hotel Dom in Köln.

The room was spacious and very confortable. The staff is very helpful. The location is great, very convenient. The room was quiet. Just one less positive note: the neighours next door kept on slamming a door (I don't know if it was their bathroom's door or their room entrance one) which was a bit annoying in the evening, but fortunately they stopped before midnight.

Dear Stefanie Stotz,
I am only directing this review to the Lindner Hotel and not to Trip advisor, Google or Holidaycheck as I do not want to make my experience public and do not want to harm your hotel.
The hotel accommodation and reception staff were excellent.
What I didn't like at all was the bar/restaurant staff.
We (4 people, rented two rooms) had an evening meal there at 5.30 pm and wanted to come and have a drink afterwards at 10 pm.
The people in the bar/restaurant several times forgot our order during this dinner while we were the only customers at that time. They were also very arrogant, pushy and even rude to get a tip after the meal. I'll spare you the details, but my friends run a catering business themselves and have never experienced this. It is by no means a way to deal with customers. When we wanted to have a drink on the terrace of the hotel at 10 pm after a visit to Cologne, we were bluntly told that we should have it at the counter.
So our city trip to Cologne ended at 10 pm because we were forced to go to sleep at 10 pm without a drink. I had imagined something completely different from my city trip.
Because of this bad experience I will never book a Lindner hotel again and also advise against this hotel chain to family, friends or acquaintances.

The hotel is located near the Kölner Hauptbahnhof (Railway station), which is an advantage. It is in front of the police office (so I guess it should be quite safe also). The rooms are very quiet (thick doors and good walls). The beds are of exceptional good quality for a good night's sleep. Breakfast is good (not too extended, but not very limited. You have all there is to eat). Staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good food at reasonable prices. I'd recommend to eat here. The only problem is that the bar is not always open, but I guess that's a matter of budget choice (personnel cost).

Having arrived in Koln and found my hotel around the corner had double booked me I was left looking for an alternative late on in the day. Being busy trade fair time there were very few options available. I found the Lindner and the check in team managed to find a way to get me a room.
The staff are excellent, the room was clean and functional, the breakfast was excellent. And much better value than the hotel I have used in the past. I will certainly change my loyalty to the Lindner when I visit next year.
Thanks team Lindner.

Very basic hotel, well located.
It turns out that the swimming pool, sauna and fitness are shared with the elderly home next door and a Covid-test is needed, even if you are vaccinated.
This also means that you need to book the pool and wellness well upfront to be able to get a slot with a limit of 30 minutes.
On top of this there was no pre-warning at the check-in, so I found out about this all in my bath-robe at the pool itself.
After complaining at the reception I ended up in an argument. Apparently the front-desk manager was not amused and didn't even have the courtesy to ask how the stay was at the check-out.
I have given Lindner a chance to react to this complaint, but so far no reaction. Hence this review as a warning for people who want to book this hotel because of the pool and wellness.
