Contacted the hotel and asked friendly if they could offer me a short notice cancellation due to Corona. Never experienced such unfriendly and unempathetic hotel staff! Made me cry on the phone and had the nerve to just hang up.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay here in Dec 2013! The rooms are very comfortable and clean, and our hosts were very friendly and helpful to us throughout our stay. They even packed us breakfast and lunch sandwiches when we had to leave so early for a flight that we could not make to breakfast in the morning. (The wifi is also much faster and reliable than in most hotels!)

Checked in with no problem, dropped off my luggage and went off to enjoy the day. The room is perfect for a solo traveller. Some doors may need some oiling as they creak. The way many of German doors work (at least from my experience), you should use your key to close doors rather than slam them shut. They served inclusive breakfast which was good: variety of salami, cheese, breads, juices/milk/tea/coffee, cereal, jam/spreads, egg etc.. Would definitely recommend!

really nice and small hotel near the center of cologne
breakfast is really good (bread, buns, cornflakes, eggs, coffee tea all fresh made)
rooms are okay for a short stay but double beds could actually be one bed, not 2 beds put side by side.
staff was really nice and helpful

Staff is friendly, I’ve arrived early and had no problems dropping off my luggage and going sightseeing even before my room was ready. Location is good, only a few minutes walking to the cathedral.

Really nice hotel, family handled. Few stops by S-bahn away from the city center. Really nice rooms, very clean, good price policy and really welcoming staff.

The hotel is family-like. The lady at the reception is extremely friendly. Nice breakfast and very good atmosphere.
