A cozy and quite hotel located closely to the historic center of Cologne 10min away front the Cathedral.
The breakfast for the price of 12Euros was OK
I was lucky to have a room with an A/C, otherwise most of the rooms are without one, I stayed in August can’t say it was necessary, but it was a nice thing to have.
Would definitely stay here once again

As others have mentioned staff leaves early and comes in late.
Rooms have minimalist feel. TV didn't work as it should. Not impressed with art decor. Very edgy.

Poor front manager (Julia Löwen) need to cancel the booking due to cancellation on concert in area and gave a lot notice that want to cancel the booking that they could on sold the room, more then 1 Month and they said no!!!! I understand booked on a no refund rate but you had the option to resell over the month and also asked for a credit and they would not give this option either really bad service I am a travel agent of large company and I will not be selling proprty and also will give the feedback to other travel agents in my network not to sell your hotel, this is really poor form as we trying to pick up business after COVID, PLEASE DONT book this hotel !!!! staff are not understanding at all

So the problem with the room that we got was:
- absolutely no place to put your clothes, not even a coat hanger or anything
- no door for the bathroom, I mean you could in theory use the toilet door to kinda close the bathroom but this would still leave a big gap on top of the door, illuminating the whole room and of course having no noise blocking.
- the "design" sink or bed lamps are NOT useful or good to use. They look nice in a picture, but using it is not convenient.
- the tv is in 576i resolution.
- the welcome booth is empty most of the time, hard to get someone to serve you, I've had to wait, I've seen other people wait several times, too.
- no kettle in the rooms, no tea offered, no special attention or things that make you say "oh that's why I'm paying premium".

Other than that, the building itself is great and the library full of artsy books, but for the price you'd expect much, much better. I mean, a door for the bathroom doesn't sound like I'm asking too much, right?

Gorgeous hotel in a peaceful location opposite the St Gereon Church. Car parking not possible at the location so you have to use the nearby public car park which is 5 mins walk away. Euro 20 per night. No air con in the rooms which was a bit of a challenge in the warm Koln summer but we were out all the time anyway.

Absolutely stunning building, beautiful inside and outside, designer furniture and so on. There’s nothing else though.
The staff leaves at 18:00, you come in with your own key, which was a nice experience, but you expect to have at least some service for that kind of money.
Breakfast is outsourced and very very basic, so you need to decide in advance what are you going to eat. If you want to add an egg to your croissant in the morning, you won’t be allowed to do that, and you’ll be informed about that in a very stern tone.
If you have any trouble with your booking you’ll have to deal with it yourself. Staff isn’t very eager to help, they just give you the key and charge money. You don’t feel welcomed at all.
So basically it is a very beautiful place, where they allow you to sleep, i couldn’t call it a *hotel*. The price for that kind of service is a bit ridiculous.

Because.. The stuff is not really friendly. The beds are not comfortable at leat for me. The TV does not work (no signal) you cannot ask for help because the stuff is gone at 8 pm. The building is nice and the environment. But in comparison to all the other 5 star hotels I have been its a joke. I am sorry it's aa really nice building, but the money is not worth it.
