Hotel Esplanade Köln

We booked the hotel Esplanade last minute and weren't expecting much but when we arrived we realised we had actually found a gem! I got the impression that the hotel is family run which I really liked. Walls are covered in historic family photos and the retro decor was great. Room was a good size, comfortable with a stocked mini bar which was a nice touch. Location was great because it was so easy to access various tram lines easily. We unfortunately didn't get to sample the breakfast as we chose to utilise the late checkout time of 12pm and sleep sleep sleep! Would definitely stay at the esplanade again.

We are going to stay for two nights here and we already like the hotel and service. The guy who working at the reception is very professional and so friendly ! Room is cute and very clean. We will come back for sure!

The breakfast is wonderful! I just didn't like the gap between the bed for a couple. Actually they are two beds put together, that's why the gap.

What a fantastic hotel. Near enough to the centre without being too busy. Great staff and really nice breakfast. Very clean rooms. Will definitely stay here again.

In general, my companion and I were really satisfied by the service of the hotel. We appreciated the friendly and professional staff. The room was clean. Even though our group complained a little about the small bathroom. Honestly, I was not bothered about it. The location of this hotel was ideal to visit the city.

Good clean hotel near the center. Easily accessible by public transport. There's no parking but there's a garage across the street. Hotel is a bit old but clean and well maintained. Excellent value for money, especially considering the location. Breakfast is quite good.
