Generally I am a fan of Decathlon, but this time , I have an experience which i dont want to go through.
I had visited the store on the 4th of June to try some gravel bikes. They had just a road bike and they offered me to take it for a 30 days trial. I agreed and paid for it.
On the 19th June , when I came to return it they checked it and it was perfect without any scratches, they took the bike and charged my card again for 850 euros, instead of returning the money, which I noticed later when checking on my bank account statement.
Later on calling them to report this problem, they informed me that I have to go back to the store to get this refund once again. A bank transaction was not possible. May be Decathlon needs to make their transactions more flexible.
I had travelled to this store nearly 100 km, by train and they make me do this again, its such a waste of time and money . Its pretty frustrating when the fault is on their side I have to go through this suffering.
I kindly request the staff at the cash counter to double check on amounts like 850 euros, whether its supposed to refunded or charged.
It's a regretful experience .
