This kind of Cinema is why Berlin is such a cultural gem. The Zeughauskino by the Museum Island is a real testament to the vibrancy of Cinema culture in Berlin. The tickets are around 5€ and you will get to see some amazing films you may never have known existed. Mostly in German and often with an introduction by a scholar, it's a unique place. The interior is roomy and the seating oddly elevated. For those wanting refreshments there is only a sad vending machine in the foyer (much better to pop next door to the Zeughaus cafe and enjoy the ambiance of a real Berlin Cafe space). For cinephiles and the curious on the lookout for something new and unexpected, it is a must.
