good advice are to bring picnic if you visit the place at lunchtime. Big and nice lawn offers good opportunities for it

Very nice. But lights on the paintings shines sometimes and it becomes impossible to see paintings.

Totally awesome museum of German history. Well worth the visit. Spent many hours here. Fantastic very informative exhibits in both English and German. I learnt a lot about German history in a few hours there is everything from u003c1400's to present day including the very interesting political formations of each era in very high detail. There is lots of information which is very well presented so you can read only the highlights or delve right into the detail as you walk through the ages.

Great place to learn about the history of Germany! But I find that there are too many exhibits (unless you’re into in depth exploration of German history) and English explanations a little confusing at times. But overall, a good place to understand the country’s history and see cool exhibits!

It’s great to visit, it really took me 4 hours and I wanted to stay a bit longer to see more things. If you don’t know much about the history and the art work, I recommend you to rend an audio guide, it’s only €3 but it totally worth it. The ticket is €8, but there are really a lot things to see, if you love history or want to learn the history of Germany I think you should go to visit it.

The exposition is a bit old - fashioned, without multimedia or interactive elements. Some audio-guides can be rent in several languages. Be sure to take one, if you don't speak any German, because most of the exposition is only in this language. I think it's a great place who those, who want to know more about the history of Germany. They will learn as much as possible within few hours. I wouldn't recommend this place for families with children or teenagers - it may be just too boring for young visitors.

This is actually my favourite museum in Berlin! If you're into history this is a MUST. Everything you need to know about Germany is here. Go with an open mind in order to confront yourself with some serious history facts. The permanent exhibition is very well done and they always have very interesting changing exhibitions. Great option for rainy days. This museum is barely ever very crowed. The more contemporary part off the back is a master piece of architecture. Don't forget to go up the state-of-art glass staircase.
