I have mixed feeling about this place. Let's start with the good parts:
The place is beautiful. A stretch of gold sandy beach, overlooking the beautiful Halensee (lake). On the beach side there's a closed perimter in the lake, so it's ideal for kids. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And the beach itself has plenty of sits and shade.
The bad parts: Food and drinks are not allowed in, even water for small kids. You have to leave them upstairs and can come up to drink and eat if you wish, but there are a lot of stairs so it's not a viable option for kids. The alternative is to buy at the beach side bar, Which is very expensive. A coke (small) and beer (bottle) set me back 8.5 Euro. The entrance was 7 Euro per adolt, and my kids (3 and 6) did not have to pay. While if you go up you can find toilets, there are none next to the beach, and we did not find any showers which was an issue since kids water and sand equal a whole lot of mud.

We enjoyed our stay, but 22.5 Euros was a bit much for what we got. Not sure we'll be coming back...

Quite beautiful place with lots of sunbeds, special water play ground for kids.
Also many people swim in the lake and enjoy water to get cold!
Some of umbrellas were out of order though.
Cool staff and a bit expensive pricing.

Well designed chilled beach/restaurant area in western Berlin. Good food, good drinks. Gotta pay for entrance and sunbeds, above average prices but its worth it if you like classy and stylish places!

Young and old, male, female and diverse ... everyone is welcome here. The drinks are exquisite and the food is catered from "good old" petrocelli's. Try the pesto with pine nuts pasta...delicious!
I also suggest starting early here. The entry fee is 10 EUR and there is a good reason for it. It acts as a deterrence towards crowds. Masses are unwelcome here and the Berlin "Schickeria" drops by for "champagne wishes and caviar dreams". Catch them if you can???? Oh... the sunsets on the promenade are magical.

Cover charge is 10€ but once you're in you've got a quiet sanctuary in the middle of the city. Best place to be when temperatures rise above 30°C.
