Yummy veal Schnitzel and even yummier fried chicken waffle. Omnomnommm. Came here for a Sunday lunch; the outside tables were almost full with plenty of empty tables indoors.

Really kind and friendly service. Loved it here

Top quality Austrian resturant. Food is delicious with high quality and fresh products. Beautiful, clean and spacious location. Staff warming, friendly and professional. You'll probably need to wait for your order to be served but it worth the time. Don't miss the Schnitzel, Kaiserschmarrn and Sacher Torte.

We were there many times since 2016. We know how this restaurant was then and we experienced it’s decline since a few years ago. My last visit has been in October 2021. This review is a very late one, but I happened to spot the heart on the map today and I had to delete it. I won’t come back. Every year quality and quantity has been a little less (always referring to the benchmark, the classic Wiener Schnitzel, of course). But last time quantity was ridiculous, less than half the memory of long ago and even a lot less than the already diminishing dinner we had here in 2020. What was once a feast for the eyes and the mouth, that day was a ordinary over priced thing in a noisy crowded restaurant. Taste was no better. Good, but far from the exceptional masterpiece we knew very well. A sad day. Always a bad day when you have to delete a place from the loved one list.

Has been a favourite of mine for many years. I did not mind the "higher than average" prices as food and service used to be better than at most places in the area. Saturday I returned for the first time since the pandemic and since I have stopped eating meat. Both of these life altering events might make me reconsider my lil Austrian fling: For the first time neither service nor food convinced. The Schnitzel was really good, says the hubby, but my cauliflour just didn't not live up to the expectations that came with the hefty price tag of 23€. It tasted way better than it looked, but still was too expensive. Also the service lacked. We waited almost an hour for our food, appetizers, one of which was just bread, took 40 minutes and the apperitif was forgotten. All of this can happen, the waitress was super busy. But I missed a friendly word or any type of acknowledgement that things just weren't as good as should have been. That attitude is what makes me not want to go back. I am from Berlin. I am not bothered by lack of enthusiasm in service. But still, it was a truly disappointing experience. Also, on a different note, nobody checked if we complied with the 3Gs. Something that made us feel a bit uncomfortable as well.
Two of the three stars are for the sake of good old times at Schneeweiß. It is still a good choice for Schnitzel, but that just does not cut it for me anymore. For a bill over 100€ for two I am expecting better.

If you like overpriced food and rude service, look no further - this is the place for you! I am a seasoned diner and I have never been treated so rude in any restaurant. They make you feel like you should be grateful to eat in their restaurant. Food takes too long, drinks are overpriced. One of the worst, if not the worst dining experience I have ever had. There are so many good places in Berlin where you get fantastic service and top notch food. Schneeweiß is NOT one of them.

After reading all of the hype, and at this price point, I will admit I was expecting more. The breading was a bit soggy, and the best part by far were the pickles

Tried the takeaway offer from Schneeweiss while the lockdown stops us from visiting in-person - and we had a great meal and evening at home with the food we chose. The cook continues to mix traditional Austro-Kitchen with novel and unique flavor combinations to achieve surprising and fresh results. For takeaway the kitchen prepares everything ready-to-eat, so no cooking needed, and there is then a sheet that explains how to arrange everything on the plate for the perfect experience. We liked the restaurant when we could still go in person, but now that we have tried take-away we will surely repeat this to support local restaurants in these hard times. We saw the Schnitzel om the take-away options and that is one of the best in Berlin, so we may go with that next.
