Food was so-so. Pork mostly just dry (though we did get the wrong order, the original might not be dry). The schnitzel seems like some store bought stuff and not very crunchy or tasty. Its not bad, just not good either. The potatoes were great though, but couldn't save the dishes. Service was good, nice people.

I'm updating my earlier review. Initially my husband and I were concerned that this restaurant didn't notify us that their credit card machine was down until they delivered the bill. After my husband went out and procured cash we then had an issue with our server granting us the correct change. The owner ended up reaching out to us to correct the issue and we really appreciated it. Overall the food here was good and the restaurant was clean and quiet. We were grateful for the follow up to our problem and would advise that anyone visiting this restaurant, or any other in Germany, carry both euros and card.

This was a good experience. I got half a duck with red cabbage salad and a couple of dumplings plus a beer for $20.00 euros. The taste of the duck was amazing, crispy and thin on the outside and soft and juicy inside.

Did freshly ate there and spent a nice moment. Food was tasty and waitress very nice and patient to help us understand what these german menus were.

Not many places left that serve German food. Here they serve straight forward stuff. No thrills. As the Germans say: bodenständig. I've always liked going to Ambrosius. They used to have two other restaurants. Now only here.
