“Fast-Food Like” “Bland” “Friendly Staff”

The papaya salad unfortunately didn’t taste fresh and the only nice thing about it was the fried pieces around. Tea was soso, and hard to drink because there’s no filter. The pho was bland, we couldn’t really taste anything.

The staff was very friendly, though.

Delicious food, wonderful service. I wish they had homemade non alcoholic cocktails but otherwise no complaints. Great location for a date also !

Service was quite bad, slow and un welcoming. We waited for over 15 min for starters and additional 30 min for 4 dishes (all ordered together). The guy also really insisted that we order drinks, and wasn't very service oriented. The food itself was ok but not amazing, some sort of mix between salad and noodles. Not hot but not cold, nit very spicey and not very flavoury, but maybe that's vietnamese food, never been there

Really good, fresh food, and very authentic, cooked by one of the owner's wife. It's basically a family business. Very reasonable prices. You can always find creative dishes and drinks here.

Nice views over the square, but the food here is average. Try the special with the fresh asparagus. It's tasty. Just lots of better Vietnamese in Berlin.

I came for a soup pho and was greatly disappointed. Their Pho Ba was a weak broth with tiny pieces of meat + noodles. It was edible but nothing like a hearty flavorful soup a good pho can be. Vietnamese coffee was also not good with a weird taste. The interior is pleasant and the service was good.

As a person of Vietnamese descent that has eaten Vietnamese food across a variety of different countries (including Vietnam), the pho here was mediocre at the very best. Overall, the food was highly disappointing but the environment was pleasant.

The broth did not have any of the distinct flavours of pho and resembled generic beef stock at best. At worst, I felt like the broth was simply salted water served at soup temperature. The pho broth is probably the most important aspect of the meal and has is woefully inadequate at Pho 12.

Second, the meat to noodle ratio of the beef pho (Pho Bo) was alarmingly inadequate. In total, there was likely around 50-80g of beef in the entire portion. This is less than half of what is usually served in most pho restaurants.

The redeeming factors of the restaurant were all unrelated to food. The price was reasonable, the location accessible, the environment was clean and the decor of the restaurant was chic. This makes it a decent location for a light dinner if you do not expect authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
