This is a lovely neighborhood restaurant serving excellent food from southern Germany. Really tasty, really authentic. The location is great -and not so great: right above the metro station Bayerischer Platz, very convienient but on one side of the wrap around balcony one sits right above a busy street; the balcony, though, is nicely decorated with plants and one overlooks the park at Bayerischer Platz. Summary: great food for those who like Spätzle, Maultaschen etc at reasonable prices, very friendly staff, the balcony at Grunewald Strasse might get a little noisy during rushhour times.

Excellent cakes. Very nice atmosphere and friendly service. But the historical information the place gives including maps and computer stations with the history of the Bavarian Quarter is most impressive and makes the visit worth while.

This cafe is under new management since end of 2019 and also functions as a Swabian restaurant since the reopening. I’ve been there a couple of times now and I’m really happy with the food as well as with the friendliness of the owners.

Great wrap-around terrace, excellent coffee and good food. The Einstein coffee shop on the ground floor is lovely too and will have treats for your dog.

More like a transit stop or even a meeting point on top of Bäyrischer Platz U Bahnhoff. Regular Cafe plus variety of snacks and drinks. Friendly staff. Hotspot for getting to know history of Bäyrischer Platz and adjoining area. Wi-Fi available

rude guy yelled at me angrily that that café was still closed. When I mentioned that an open door sends another message he didn't believe me and accused me of using the staff door. won't return. Interesting place as a starting point for a tour of Jewish Berlin. Loads of brochures and free maps.
