I like the style of that hotel, the colours and design of the rooms and floors, the service was very friendly. We stayed in a clean but small room,we liked the heating option of the bathrooms floor, the view out of the window and the personalized welcome on the tv screen, but we missed a fridge and a boiler for tea or coffee. The little spa area is great, the pool is a pleasure for swimming for max. 2 people and the very sauna had space for 4 people, unfortunately the steam sauna was closed.

Good things:
Location
Parking is expensive, but available.
Small pool and sauna exist as advertised.
There were a fridge in the room.

Neutral things:
Food is nothing special, leaning on boring.
Rooms are completely standard, which is a disappointment considering the marketing..

Bad things:
The man in the reception. He was so arrogant and unhelpful that I will not return to any Pestana. Ever.
He spoke badly of his female colleagues (who where all helpful, competent, and nice) while he just dismissed all questions or answered in one-syllable sentences or grunts. I speak German fluently so it wasn't a language problem.

The hotel's IT systems are running out of Portugal on very thin lines, so all inquiries (like an extended stay) takes forever for the staff to handle.

The location of the hotel is great. The rest just average or below. There are plenty of better options nearby.

The receptionists were very helpful, they gave excellent hints of what to do for a weekend in Berlin. The breakfast was wonderful with many options. Very comfortable mattress, probably the best I found till now at a hotel, nice heated floor at the bathroom. Hope to visit again soon!

We had a fantastic stay at the Pestana, the room was spotless and lovely u0026 modern/bright. Really comfy bed, and so quiet! Fabulous bathroom u0026 shower and the staff were amazing particularly the breakfast crew and Kenny the Barman. It's only a 15 min pleasant stroll to the Reichstag Building so perfect location too. Would highly recommend!

Shame no coffee making facility in the room and bar closed at 11pm.
A little noisy from the room above.
However on the up side breakfast had a good choice, bed was comfortable and room clean.
Helpful staff.

Really good location, next to tiergarten and a few minutes away from many touristic interest spots! The hotel is very comfortable (specially the bed) and the breakfast had a great variety of food and was delicious. Very kind staff aswell.

The hotel is clean and cozy with an excellent location. Just about 10 minutes walk from Berlin zoo, public transportation and Kurfürstendamm. Check-in was quick and the staff were genuinely nice, helpful and informative. We were also pleasantly surprised when front desk agent informed us our room was ready (we arrived at 10:00 a.m) although it states check in time is at 3 p.m.
Very good breakfast offering a wide variety of options. Great Wi-Fi connection in all areas.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back!
