The layout of the room is a bit strange, since it's not the typical bunk beds style. There are two beds side by side and the bunk beds didn't have curtains for privacy. Huge bathroom
Very practical location wise, as there are trains running 24/7 to the airport (my flight was at 6 am)
I had a very enjoyable stay nonetheless.

Nice hostel, nice breakfast. Far from city center. Some staff were lovely, some staff were awful. We had the bad luck to deal with a couple of rude receptionists at night, they did not understand English very well. They made us pay 500 euros extra for a reservation we did not make, when my reservation was already paid in advance on-line. The receptionists told us that we had to pay for that extra room, and that we would need to solve the issue with the manager on the next day. At the end the money was reimbursed to us. It ended up being a problem in their system which made 2 reservations in my name. Also, it would be good to teach some manners to the reception staff. I know it's not a 5 stars hotel, but being kind doesn't cost a thing.

We stayed in many basic hotels and we don't mind basic furniture as long as it is clean and quiet. This hotel unfortunately is neither. We booked a room for 4 with bunk beds, which is great, especially for kids. The room came with a full bathroom and a half bath. The half bath came with hand soap but no towel ( no real place to hang one up) The full bath had no hand soap but towels. The main bathroom had a terrible urine smell and the grout in the shower was covered in pink and black mold.
But the worst was the noise. All night long we kept hearing noise from all different sides. It was the worst night we had at any kind of hotel.

Took 13 high school students u0026 6 adults here: we really enjoyed it. We’ll-maintained, clean facility; great breakfast with many choices; helpful u0026 friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Check-in was atrocious. Their system was down when we arrived and had to wait. Once up, it took ages for each customer to be helped. We asked for a crib in the room but it wasn't there, so I immediately went back downstairs and waited another 30 minutes for help. The lady at the desk watched another party step in front of me and still helped them...i interrupted and the gentleman behind the counter took care of me. Arrived at 6pm, checked in at 7:10, got a crib at 7:40. The gentleman behind the counter was very apologetic despite the check-in situation. Room was nice and affordable - we always stay here when flying out of BER and will continue to.

Staffs were nice but I found a lot of hair on the bed. I never had anything that disgusting in my life. This was suppose to be a clean bed and the internet was down the whole day. Never ever

Haven't expected such a poor service at the reception, considering that I've booked a room and payed for it 3 weeks before arriving. So all I needed was a key. But the employees were sooooo slow during the check-in! There was a line with two persons in front of me. Well, I didn't mind waiting for about 10 minutes. But it was actually 10 min PRO PERSON! I've been standing for at least half an hour with my PRE-PAID(!) booking number. And in the end the employee was so incompetent that he couldn't use the booking number for a quicker check-in. He had to search for my name in the system instead and even wasn't able to type it in after I spelled it, so I had to write it down on a paper piece for him! That was the worst check-in in my life! Oh, and also the toilet in my room stank like a public WC. What an exceptional way to treat a customer!
