This is hands down the best place to eat German food. If you are out for big plates filled with lots of meats or a bougy Ambiente this might not be your cup of tea. What you get is way better than that any day of the week. Creative food cooked to perfection.

Consistently new interpreted, seasonal menu with fine wine pairings and an emphasis on regionally-sourced ingredients. Lochner is priced well for the quality and nicely curated atmosphere, all of which showcases a variety of German cuisine from its most delicious side!

A restaurant where, as the name implies, the wine is the main star.
They have a relatively reduced but extremely seasonal and competent choice of small (almost tapas like) dishes that pair beautifully with wine. By the way, wine pairing is an option for every course. Every person should have at least 2 courses, or you'll go home hungry and/or drunk!
As a table, we ordered more than half of the menu and every course I tasted was not only nice but delicious, can't fault anything, they even produced beetroot in a way I actually managed to like it. And i hate beetroot...
The wines are great too, a large selection of German and Austrian wines, but not limited to. and if you like the wine you can buy a bottle to take home for a very fair price.
The service was friendly, competent and effortless.
I'll definitely be going back there! Highly recommendable!

Did the weekly tasting menu, and it was by far the best meal I've had in Schöneberg, and possibly all of Berlin
