The driest schnitzel i have tasted and the side dishes were nothing to rave about.

I ordered 1 schnitzel but the waiter brought out 2 portions and insisted that I had ordered 2 portions ????????u200d♂️. Probably a result of miscommunication.

The saving grace is the old school cool interior decor and the cute porcelain mugs in which beer is served in. Other than that, I cannot recommend unfortunately.

This is more of a heritage place. It was next door for me when I was living in Berlin but could not visit it because it was closed due to Covid. When I visited this place just before I was leaving Berlin for a new city, I was thankful I did! The menu is largely German and Austrian and the hosts are pleasant. The place in itself is beautiful and has some history associated with it. So, do visit!!

Few things are more authentic than when the owner barely speaks any English. I use hand signals and point at the menu to make my order. I order my beer and sit down, and am greeted with an epic plate of beef, noodles, and a salad which I promptly devour because it’s so delicious. No time for a food photo, the food is too good. Brings back great memories of my travels in Asia where less people speak English, and you have to use universal hand signals to communicate. Love it here!

What a sweet, little German restaurant.

Order Spätzle or soup at the bar and enjoy a draught beer in a clay mug. Just wonderful.

The interior is just magical too. Books on the wall. Paintings. Old photographs.

Friendly waiters. Don’t miss out!

We thought this little place was excellent. Lovely food and friendly staff. The dunkelbier was nice too :-)

Think old Berlin diner. Simple food, but well executed with no fuss. Interior is amazing to sit and experience the history. Locals and in the know tourists are here. Worth a detour. Probably better for lunch or casual dinner

The interior and service were lovely but the schnitzel (which I came for) was thin and dry and I'm sorry to say I wasn't impressed, the sides that came with it were pretty average. I would certainly try again if the schnitzels were more generous with the meat. I don't want to eat only batter.
