A waterfront chateau in the heart of Berlin? Why not. A delightful place to walk along the water and enjoy a slower pace than the rest of Mitte. Beautiful scenery and always a good experience in the Grunewald forest.

Long walk in beautiful woods, beautiful scenes all the way. Best for solo and group hike as well

Lovely park, a lot of dog walkers and a dog beach. Biergarten is open and the food kiosks outside sell coffee, beer, fries and hot dogs, sweet waffles. I love coming here with my child - there's a playground near the restaurant but we prefer to just have a walk while he is riding his balance bike. Sometimes one can see horses outside the stable near the riding club.

Nice place, but to get there one should walk through the muddy forest road. Christmas market was not very big (or diverse) there.
