The staff was very friendly and the beds were comfy and rather large.
They have a fresh issue of Berliner Morgenpost daily.
The main downfall is that it gets extremely hot in the hotel. I travelled in May and I couldn't sleep without having my window open - I can't imagine what it would feel like in summer. There is no A/C, of course.
The room was somewhat outdated with old or not properly fixed furniture and stains on the carpet and walls. Based on the pictures on the website, I can see that some room look more renovated, but it wasn't really my case.
The hotel was missing a few "hotel" attributes: cups/mugs/glasses, a "do not disturb" card, and most importantly - overhead light. I only had one source of light in my room, which was a table lamp next to the entrance door. There were a few light switches around the room, but no light that they would operate - odd. Some sockets weren't functional either, so I only had one source of electricity in the room - next to the said table lamp far away from the bed.
