I attended ElitHair for a DHI hair transplant in Istanbul from 26/06/22 to 28/06/22.

What I loved about Elithair is that they were in constant communication with me, before the transplant providing excellent information over the phone, email and via WhatsApp. Whenever I had a question or ran in to trouble they always put me at ease. The staff on the phone were exceptional, specifically Nathalia in Berlin who was in contact with me before the transplant process, very friendly and once again providing great information and advice, and Daniel in the UK, who was kind enough to contact me after my transplant to make sure everything was going well.

The process was very smooth, I arrived in Istanbul and had a short wait for my shuttle to the hair clinic/hospital. They reminded me me of the entire process, and although I had complete trust in their abilities, I imagine it would have been very reassuring to someone who would have been feeling stressed about the procedure.

They have a multitude of translators for many languages it seems, though their primary customers seem to be German. There was no problems with communication during my procedure. The team conducting my transplant told me what they were doing, as they were doing it. They did not speak much English, but I appreciated that they were chatting among themselves during the operation, I much prefer this to 9 hours of silence.

Regarding the procedure itself, I was getting 3300 grafts taken from the donor area at the back of my head. This took around 3.5 to 4 hours. There was some initial delays as one piece of their equipment was not working properly, but they fixed this quite quickly. I was injected with anaesthetic at many points around the donor area, and the procedure was relatively painless, I found myself daydreaming at times.

During the implantation phase of the operation (crown and front hairline) I did experience some pain, but the surgeons and assistants took care of this when I brought it to their attention. This took another 4 hours or so. Once the operation was completed, they had me wait in the hospital for some time to make sure I was feeling okay then sent me via a shuttle to the hotel again.

On the final day I was advised how to wash and treat my hair for the short to mid-term and the team answered any questions I had.

Overall excellent experience and I would highly recommend ElitHair. I will post a future review upon seeing the full results of my transplant in the next year or so. There are many more postitive things I would like to say about ElitHair, but I would not like to turn a review into a book.

I found the clinic online and travel from Sweden to Istanbul!
Everything went as expected (and believe me, I had really high expectations!)
From the transfer services, Hotel, Clinic, support Translator, Technicians and the Doctors, show extremely high level of professionalism, with top rated medical and higiene standards.
The procedure went really good, now patienly waiting for end results in some months.
Great work from all team, strongly recommend the service

I have been researching for a while before deciding to choose Elithair. I have just landed in Berlin after 3 days of a very well organized trip to Istambul to have a hair transplant surgery with doctor Balwi’s team. A team which has exceeded all my expectations.

Johanna was my Spanish point of contact through the overall booking, information related to the trip and the surgery, even accommodations reschedules and pre-surgery set shipment issues.
She took care of every small caveat and kept the communication flowing from the point of contact until my safe and sound arrival to Istambul.

Mari was my personal interpreter (spanish-turkish) through the whole process during my time in the hospital. She was very kind, empathetic and detail driven.
She patiently explained to me every single step of the process. Highlighting the most important aspects as well as taking care of my fully understanding. On top of that Mari excels in making you feel supported every minute of the experience in the clinic. Her continuous attention and her great communication skills made me feel assisted by the doctor and the team at any moment.

The nurses, auxiliaries, drivers and hotel staff were impressively welcoming. They were always with a good smile and address you with very good manners.

Now I can only wait for the upcoming 6 months before starting to see the results. I can only wish they will be as good as my time in Istambul!

Very good service, I just did the Operation beginning of January 2021. Excellent service and results. my advice to everyone: just do it now, as long as you have enough hair, the more they can transplant to the areas on your head where hair is missing.

I can absolutely recommend this place as Dr. Balwi and his team went through all efforts to create the most comfortable place for me. I was feeling very much being taken care of throughout the 3-day process that I was going through. I especially want to point out the professionalism of the doctors and the translator Taliyah, who helped me immensely. I strongly believe that with her assistance my trip to Elithair became the mesmerizing experience that it ended up being.
