Very original traditional Berlin bar. Here you can meet real Berliners speaking the local dialect with their direct attitude. Rather rough neighborhood with some brothels around but not dangerous. Nothing for hipsters and the faint hearted. Not stylish but very authentic. Rather no English. Free sour cucumbers and Schmalz-Stulle. Great gallery of photographs taken inside the location by a great photographer depicting the bar life including drunk people. Definitely worth a visit if you wanna see a traditional Berlin bar.

If you looking a place, where you drink good quality beer, smoke a cigarette, known better German culture and social night life in this country - you have to go there and order a few beers and something from local menu card.

This is as close you'll ever get a Berliner Kneipe in C-Burg.
Awesome atmosphere, lots of screens to watch sports, friendly staff, yet mostly only speaking German :)
-Cosy and homely. I visit Hecht every time I'm in Berlin.
