2. In order to make it easier in this situation to deal with difficult patients like our mother, whose day-night rhythm was disturbed, she was sedated with medication and was therefore not responsive during the day, lying in bed sound asleep in the afternoon.
Once, at noon, I found her sitting at the table in the aisle, half asleep, trying to eat her lunch alone, with only limited success.
3. There are no neurologists in the EGZB, but this would be urgently needed for old patients who are often mentally impaired.

6. At the end of her stay, a necessary MRI could not be done because our mother arrived late at the other hospital, her very expensive hearing aids disappearing on the way there and back.
All in all, it can be stated that there were no rehabilitation successes to report. The therapies or therapy successes mentioned in the doctor's letter are not comprehensible for us. For us, the stay was more like "custody" for our mother until a place in a nursing home was found.

Unsere Mutter befand sich für 4Wochen im EGZB, nachdem sie nach einem epileptischen Hirnkrampf-Anfall und einem Delir zwei Wochen im Virchow-Klinikum behandelt worden war.
Zu Beginn des Aufenthaltes im EGZB konnte sie im Rollstuhl sitzen, mit Hilfe selbständig essen und auch reden, war wach und ansprechbar. Dies war nach vier Wochen nicht mehr der Fall.
Es gibt verschiedene schwerwiegende Missstände zu benennen, die einen Reha-Erfolg unmöglich gemacht haben:
1. Der eklatante Personalmangel bewirkt, dass nur unzureichend auf die Hygiene geachtet wird. Wir mussten uns selbst um das Haarewaschen kümmern, während des gesamten Aufenthalts wurde unsere Mutter einmal geduscht.
Die Mitarbeiter*innen waren bemüht und freundlich, sprechen aber oft so schlecht Deutsch, dass eine Kommunikation mit einem geistig und vom Hörvermögen her beeinträchtigen Menschen sehr schwierig ist.
2. Um sich in dieser Situation den Umgang mit schwierigen Patienten wie unserer Mutter, deren Tag-Nacht-Rhythmus gestört war, zu erleichtern, wurde sie medikamentös sediert und war so auch tagsüber nicht ansprechbar, lag nachmittags tief schlafend im Bett.
Einmal habe ich sie mittags im Gang am Tisch sitzend angetroffen, wo sie halb schlafend versuchte, alleine ihr Mittag zu essen, was nur unzureichend gelang.
3. Es gibt im EGZB keinen Neurologen, was aber für oft geistig beeinträchtigte, alte Patienten dringend notwendig wäre.
4. Ohnehin waren die ständig wechselnden, Dienst habenden Ärzte kaum zu erreichen, so dass die Kommunikation mit uns als Angehörigen so gut wie nie möglich war. Ein persönliches Gesprächsangebot unsererseits wurde von einer Ärztin kategorisch abgelehnt.
Allerdings ist die zugewandte und engagierte Behandlung durch Herrn Dr. Oeser hervorzuheben, der aber leider auch nur einige Tage Dienst hatte.
5. Aufgrund der Erkrankung unserer Mutter waren die mehrfachen Zimmerwechsel sehr problematisch.
6. Zum Ende ihres Aufenthalts konnte ein notwendiges MRT nicht erfolgen, weil unsere Mutter zu spät in dem anderen Krankenhaus ankam, dabei verschwanden auf dem Weg dorthin oder zurück ihre sehr teuren Hörgeräte.
Alles in allem ist festzustellen, dass es keinerlei Reha-Erfolge zu verzeichnen gab. Die im Arztbrief genannten Therapien, bzw. Therapie-Erfolge sind für uns nicht nachvollziehbar. Der Aufenthalt hat sich für uns eher als "Verwahrung " unserer Mutter dargestellt, bis ein PflegeheimPlatz gefunden worden war.
Erst nachdem die starken Medikamente reduziert wurden, ist unsere Mutter nun wacher und ihr Zustand stabilisiert sich sehr langsam.
Wir können also den Aufenthalt in dieser Einrichtung nicht empfehlen

Aerzte waren teils gut teils überhaupt nicht erreichbar trotz vereinbarten Visiten. Erst nach 4 Tagen konnte ich mit einer für mich zuständigen Ärztin sprechen.
Hygiene im Zimmer und Bad (für 4 Pat. am Gang gegenüber) miserabel. Im Bad war das Waschbecken fast verstopft, der Seifenspender spendete 1 Tropfen nach 5x Draufhauen, der Hinweis zur Händedesinfektion nach Toilettenbenutzung überflüssig, da kein Mittel vorhanden. Der Zustand in Zimmer und Bad am Wochenende ein Fall fürs Gesundheitsamt!
Die Physiotherapeuten sehr nett und kompetent, ihnen gebe ich 5 Punkte! Das Essen für Krankenhausverhältnisse richtig gut, mein tägliches Trostpflaster.

Mein erster Tag auf ihrer Station und ich habe ihren Nachnamen komplett verstanden. Sie stehen unter dauerhaften Strom und kriegen nichts gebacken. Sich mit bestimmten Fachkräften anzufreunden und schlecht über das Personal zu reden, dass kriegen sie gut hin.
Mitarbeiter zu ihrer Kündigung bringen, das schaffen sie auch sehr gut. Und zu guter letzt den Schülern zu sagen :“sie werden die Ausbildung nicht bestehen und nichts in ihrem Leben erreichen“ ist auch eine super vorrangehensweise um eine inkompetente und unfreundliche Stationsleitung zu sein.
Ein Glück gab es 3-4 Kollegen die super nett waren, welche sie nicht geschätzt haben aufgrund ihrer Herkunft. Diese 3-4 netten Leute haben mir gezeigt, auf ihre Meinung kein Wert zu legen.
