Kinda complicated area there in front of Ostbahnhof where the busses come but they is a large variation of shops. Something for everyone and they're open until midnight if u need some food or something else in the night

Centrally located swish shopping mall. Spotlessly clean and tidy and buses, trams and trains just around the corner.
The staff I spoke with had typically good English and were friendly and helpful.
There are quite a few shops, all looked we'll presented and I was directed to a toilet in a department store which was spotless.
I got a couple of souvenirs and this is a quality shopping facility with prices to match.

Well, it's not extraordinary beautiful or has perfect shops. Nevertheless a few.
The major aspect this place deserves five stars for is that the most shops, especially the supermarkets, are opened on sunday!
A charme for everyone being too busy the week over or those suddenly on sunday morning facing the impact of a great dish to cook but not having all the ingredients needed (like me)... And that's a huge thing!

One of the best stations in Berlin. There is a lot of stores, food places and services within the station. It has one of the few locations where supermarkets are open on weekends.

Post office, pharmacy, supermarket, shoe store, snacks and flower shop, the Ostbahnhof caters to a commuter's or traveller's (almost) every need. Can be crowded in the late afternoon / early evenings and on weekends. Offers lots of to-go places

This S Bahn station in Berlin has 2 supermarkets that are open on Sundays + holidays. Basically every day. The rewe is open until midnight the Pennymarkt closes before that. The bahnhof also has a McDonalds, pastrie shops, a money exchange store, a restaurant a police station and a drugstore.
