Useful for everyone. The € 9 subscription is a reflection of the concern for the citizen. BVG is the best!

I got a really good experience dealing with a fine. I have a bahncard but didn’t receive the plastic card as I didnt have a permanent address in Berlin and the card was not receive at my company office for no reason. I got the fine because the temporary ticket I had expired but I did not notice it, the lady are the counter was really nice with me even though I don’t speak any German and cancel the fine because it was not my fault but DB’s. BVG is not that nice and still charge €7 if you have a problem or forgot your valid card.

Berlin has one of the best transport System compare to other cities. It’s based on my travel experience through 20 different countries. Berlin is well connected from North to south and west to east. The major part of the city is inside the circular S bahn line S41 and S42 which is circling the city clockwise and anti clockwise. Also has major transport line connecting far South to North and West to East. It provides day ticket and tourist ticket valid for t o to three days.
The day tickets cost around 9€ for AB region and almost all the city region other than Schönefeld/ New Berlin-Brandenburg is inside this one. So, if you are planning to travel around the city, you just need to take the AB region ticket.
The ticket control is really strong in Berlin transport, so better to don’t travel without tickets. It can cost you 60€ fine.
Do not forget to validate your ticket in validating stand next to the ticket Machine. Otherwise it’s invalid ticket. Most of the train stations has ticket machines and in bus you can buy the tickets from the bus driver.
The Berlin ticket is valid for all the transport services in Berlin. Like, S bahn, U bahn, Tram, Bus, Deutsche regional bahn inside city region etc.
The Berlin transport is almost 24 Hrs. In some U bahn lines it stop between 1:00 to 3:00 in the morning. But, still there is Night buses during that time. So, I would say that the city transport service is available 24*7.
Enjoy your time in Berlin and have a safe journey throughout the city????

Very clean and safe station. However, I did have some difficulty with buying S-Bahn tickets on the machines. I then did go to the office which helped me very kindly. Also, there are some cafes that are always open and an information centre too.

The worst public transportation system in Europe.
1.Never on time
2. Cancels services without notice
3. Does not get updated on google maps or Apple Maps
4. Waiting additional time at stops with no reason.
5. Engine Drivers think they are not obligated to anything of other citizens get late for their jobs.
6. Expensive mode of transport
7. Never cleaned. (The dirtiest trains of them all. )
8. Germany has so many international students and tourists. The Speakers in the platforms deliver important notices only in Deutsch which becomes very difficult for us to follow and even understand.

Lines often late or closed. Customer service is dated back in the 1980s. No online presence, everything is mail or fax. Write them an email, get a letter back in 6 months time? What!? How they're allowed to operate the way they do astounds me.

The worse experience that I ever had in Berlin! Extremely bad service with sbahn: after cancelling the subscription and returning the card to them, they claim that they didnot receive it and they still charge the money !!! Be extremely careful with them!!!
