The hotel is in a good location (close to metro) and is a fair price. The showers have good water pressure and there are lockers for storing baggage before check in that take a 1 euro coin. That is pretty much the extent of the benefits. We knew that we would be compromising somewhat with the rooms as the price was affordable, however it was a very uncomfortable stay.

The beds are very low (below my knee height) and are way too soft! They are also super narrow and the pillows were like a rolled up blanket (photo below), not a normal pillow at all. Even though we paid for a double room the bed was two singles pushed next to each other.
The staff weren't overly welcoming or pleasant. The walls are thin, so was quite noisy even though we were on the 8th floor. Rooms have carpet which just feels unclean and bathrooms are outdated. Also they have bottled water in the room which is a 2.50 charge extra! Free water is a standard in most hotels and no mini fridge either.

Location was very convenient... Not a far walk from Alexanderplatz or the main avenue to Brandenburg gate for example. All close by. The hotel itself is very straight forward .. the room was more than enough for one night stay .. I missed the minibar. Everything else is inside including a safe and AC. Comfortable and spacious bed.

Disliked · From 60€ i would expect a breakfast.. even small one. Not a deal breaker but it could be nice to be included.. you can pay around 15€ to get it.. kind of expensive in my opinion.

Location is very convienient, very close to U2 station. Our room was spacious and clean. The bed was okay. The one con I see was the bathroom, it had a bath, while I much prefer a shower in a hotel and the water temperature was changing from extremly hot to quite cold even when you were not touching the tap.

Rooms very small, was fine for me on my own, but to share with some one else would be a squeeze. Bathroom lovely size . small reception area, breakfast only meal available, but restaurant near by.

The hotel is strategically located at the U2 subway a short walk away. The U2 takes you with just a few stops to the Ku’damm, the Alex, the Schönhauser area and further north to the Prenzlauer Berg, which is a big plus now that the hotel lies somewhat outside the more interesting areas.
The room (standard double) was clean and small and reasonably quiet. The mattresses were hard.
There is a bottle of water in the room that costs 2.5 €, which I only noticed after drinking most of the water.
Our room safe was not working, and when we asked the front desk about help with that (on arrival a Thursday evening), and telling them that, I didn’t want to carry too much cash and our passports around with me, and informing them that it might be a battery issue, we were met with the answer, something like “there is not really anything we can do about that”. For a crucial equipment as a safe, a 3 star hotel should in my opinion have some sort of procedure for a situation like this.
The breakfast was acceptable for a hotel in this price range.
So all in all I choose 3 out of 5 stars, which is neither particular good nor bad, but right in the middle.
If you visit Berlin and you spend most of your time exploring the city, then I can recommend this hotel.
If staying at a hotel is part of your traveling experience, and the look and feel of the hotel, the surrounding area, the hotel room, lobby, breakfast and so on matters to you, then there are other hotels in a slightly higher price range and 4 stars I rather would recommend.
As with many things in life, you get what you pay for, and as such, this hotel does a reasonably good job for that.

First of all the location!!! 2 min walk from a subway station, which will take you anywhere you want within central Berlin. The area is very safe and quiet. I walked around in late hours without worry.

The staff were nothing but professional, kind and helpful. The rooms are nice just a lack of TV options in English. Which got annoying after a week of not understanding whats said. Wifi was slow, i mean sooo slow. So if you can upgrade to business wifi.

I would definitely stay again if I’m ever in the city.

Hotel is in an ideal area . Close to underground station and a few good restaurants and an excellent baker . Looked like there was a load of work getting done inside the hotel . Nothing was too much bother at reception. Only noise we heard was peoples luggage getting pulled outside the hotel . People who were heading to another hotel on same street . Breakfast was a bit overpriced hence we headed to the baker at the top of the street
