Big station with connecting trains to almost all of Germany either directly or Indirectly. Has 16 platforms and you get all the types of food stall here. The station is disabled friendly, one can reach to any place without much issue. Currently, the station is under construction and needs a lot of work.

The S21 construction ???? is in the next stage, if you need to go to the long distance train station, plan at least 30 minutes plus travel time. You have to get off with the sbahn, take the escalator which most of the time is out of order, at least the one going up to level 0; underground from main street. It's best to walk all the way to Yorma bakery and turn left to take the escalator again. Here, you have to leave the station, walk out, turn left and follow the green track to the FB/long distance train station. It takes at least 10 minutes or even more depending which platform you want to reach as well as how strong you are to walk an inclining path. The platforms are fuller than usual on weekends.

Stuttgart is a huge railway station which has one of the best rail connectivity with Deutschland and other European countries as well. It's connected very well Munich, Berlin, Bregenz, Frankfurt. Few trains are available for places such as Innsbruck, Strasbourg. It's well connected with rest of the city through S Bahn , U Bahn and buses. It's a terminal station, so trains come in one direction.

Complete insanity with 9€ ticket. Lots of trains have missing waggons and every train is delayed and there are track changes every time. Some don't have AC and there are many unfriendly people pushing inside the trains even when they are full. Lot's of time I see people with bikes using up a lot of space. Deutsche Bahn doesn't take any measures against those unfriendly people and they also don't seem to care that the used waggons are not sufficient in 9€ Ticket times, they just let everything run as normal and are then surprised that noting works. The connections from Stuttgart towards other Stations are all pretty bad and almost always not on time. Probably one of the worst big stations in Germany.

With the construction ongoing it’s a nightmare. You have plan much more time since the detour around takes at least 15-20 mins. Extremely tight space so be prepared to be pushed around in crowds. Certainly one of the worst stations I have been to in Germany.

Until Stuttgart21, the new main station under ground will be operating, Stuttgart is a hassle. It is a miracle how this station is still working and that they do not have accidents all the time as it is so crowded and the passages are so tight that I would get mad if I had to change trains there more often.
