Decent train station. It is under construction, so I am sure when that is done it is going to look amazing. Easy access to trains. Places to grab food for the journey. Little walk to Ubahn and Sbahn trains due to construction, but easy due to signage.

The station is fine, the signs are helpful and it is best if you read about the three train types which operate out of here, then it makes a lot more sense. They are building a new termial, so the current one is a bit run down, but right in the heart of downtown.

Presently a major building site, and by the look of it for a lot longer than initially projected. Not a 'nice' place as far as major train stations in Germany are concerned! Especially unpleasant during rush hours when passengers push and shove, some running to catch connecting trains with total disregard for mothers with kids or elderly people who can't get out of the way fast enough!

Allow plenty of extra time (2022-2025) to get in and out of the station and surrounding area.
It is going through a multi-year, extremely major overhaul and rebuilding.
Looks like it be spectacular when competed in 2025.

Horrible. To absolutely avoid. No lift/elevator. No toilet. Difficult access to anything. Extremely difficult for a woman or for families with children. Constantly unser construction. You surely loose tons of hours to transit or find your way. No cafés except a single Yorma in a corner. Long stairs that will make your life difficult if you have 2 luggages???? so prepare yourself to carry from point A to point B. ???? upstairs downstairs... no single lift. Who designed this central station? Or where was his mind? Fly better from Cologne or transit in Cologne train station ????. Avoid stuttgart hbf please

A bit chaotic now at the moment as it's it's undergoing massive renovation but things work here with lots of food stores around from sushi, fresh fruits, backeries to book stores.

Besides the construction and crowded as a central station will be, there was a waiting room one with heater and the other without doors but it was with seats so great initiative.
