Fabulous, chic place, very well represented, and waiters were friendly u0026 nice. Food, wow, my selections were amazing and very well cooked. The flavour was full, recommended with no doubts.

My husband recently emailed the Finch restaurant for the availability of the private room for his 50th birthday. I think he told me we'd have to spend a minimum of 1200 Euros. Definitely no problems for us! Can you imagine this, the Waldhotel team did NOT have the courtesy to reply?! When my husband did call to enquire, once again, they simply said yes, the private room is available, but that some of the waiter/waitress are sick so therefore they cannot welcome our 16 guests.

What is incredibly disappointing is the complete lack of business management of this team. Firstly, would I want to say "no, thanks" to so much more than 1200 Euros for one evening? You know, we were going to host drinks at the bar section also! And of course, all our 8 couples would need nice drinks with their full meals! Secondly, you do not even know, out of this party, if you have new customers who would absolutely love the Finch restaurant and therefore, you would have just earned the restaurant more future business. Lastly, we brought our business elsewhere, which we are all super excited about. Not a single person in our party knows this gem! The place looks absolutely fantastic, the Google Reviews are superb and the best part, it will probably cost quite a bit less than at the Finch Restaurant! Imagine that all 16 guests now love this new place that we would not have tried otherwise.

After this totally unprofessional experience of the Finch Restaurant, of not even having the business acumen to even attempt a solution, we will be taking our future business elsewhere! I would think, at these unusual times as the last 2 years have been, with the COVID pandemic, one would be a little more enthusiastic in fostering one’s business. Never mind, right?

The funny thing is, there actually is a really simple solution to this! It is so simple, because when I used to work in a 5-star hotel, paying my way through University, they did this! Was never a problem turning down potential business!

ps - This evening I wrote to the Grand Lakes, Ritz Carlton in Florida. They replied in 7 mins....7 mins !!!

FYI: My husband had ORIGINALLY enquired about the use of the ELSAESSER Room, ALMOST TWO WEEKS AHEAD OF TIME, via your fillable form on your website. Regarding to your comment about him enquiring being of “late notice”, did your dedicated team simply ignore his message because of this? My husband did call one week later, and spoke to Frau Gaissmaier, who surprisingly informed him the Elsasser room was still available, 5 days before our event, and that she was going to organize everything!

I am not quite sure what room you are referring to that houses only 8-10 people, because in BOTH of my husband’s line of enquiry, he was asking for the Elsaesser Room, which beautifully houses up to 30 people, depending on table arrangement. I would have though the minimum price tag of EUR 1.200,00 for its use would have clued you in on which room I was referring to. (All this information can be found in the downloadable PDF off your Hotel’s internet site).

We were looking for something quick and light for lunch. There were no sandwiches on the menu but the chef whipped up an awesome chicken club. The chicken caesar salad was excellent too.
