I found this place when searching for a good place to have the pork shoulder. It is centrally located, very near to where I stayed so my wife and I decided to eat here.

They were very accommodating with us as we turned up without a reservation. We initially sat outside, but requested to move inside so we could appreciate the traditional interior. The staff were fine with our request.

The pork/potato were great. Very tasty and tender. I would recommend.

Beware of wasps in summer... But that seemingly goes for everywhere in Germany.

The schäufele was very well cooked—crunchy crackling with meat falling off the bone that you barely had to use a knife. The gravy was rich and tied the dish together nicely. I enjoyed the sauerkraut more when it had cooled down, as I felt that it developed more tang. It did a good job cutting through the richness of the meat, providing some relief to the meal.

Service was somewhat inattentive and they unfortunately forgot about the dessert we ordered. However, the portion sizes were quite large, so we ultimately decided to ask them to remove the dessert from the bill.

Design of this restaurant is amazing, waiters are very polite speak English with no problem. But the famous sausages wasn't so good, as i were expecting. Potato was cold, strange for me. They forgot to put mustard, but it was in menu position.
Beer - perfect.
Next time i will come back, give a chance for kitchen. Because this restaurant looks for 5+ stars. But food was 2... So my opinion is 3 stars for today.

Excellent Schaufele. Meat fell off the bone, juicy. We chose to sit inside to get the German feel and it was very nice. The service was excellent. I would come here any time.

First I thought this is one of those touristy restaurants with blend food. But I was wrong. Tried the goulash soup and beef stew too. Prices are normal for Nuremberg. Beers was also good. I was slightly disappointed that the preztel was not warm as it was stated on the menu as freshly baked... Or something like that...

Nice and cozy traditional place. The service was quite good and fast. The food was really tasty and the portions were huge. I definitely recommend the pork shoulder 10/10!

Quaint cozy place with friendly hosts and traditional German dishes with generous servings and reasonable prices. The interior decor is cute and artsy. Awesome experience.
