Throughout the stay, the staff was great. Very accommodating, which is to be expected. Then disaster struck. On the morning we were supposed to leave, I called down to the valet to have my (rental) car brought up. We were headed to the Munich airport and left ourselves plenty of time to get to the airport, return the car, and catch our flight. Good thing we did, because when we went to the lobby about 15 minutes later, we were informed there was an issue retrieving our car. It was on an elevator (no uncommon), and another guest had parked their car in such a manner that prevented the operation of the elevator. Our car was trapped. After about 30 minutes of trying to find the other guest (calling and knocking didn't work), and attempting to move the car enough to enable elevator operation, the staff offered to pay for a taxi to the Munich airport (which I think ended up being about 200 euros), and would return the car to the rental agency once it was freed. Quick shout-out to Europcar for allowing me to change the drop off from Munich to Nuremburg, but the staff did everything they said they would to - and it was really above-and-beyond! If I'm ever in Nuremberg again, I will definitely stay there!
