Hotel Marienbad Nuremberg

We were a family of 3 people (couple with our daughter) traveling to Berlin and we stopped 2 nights in Nuremberg. We liked the location of this hotel which is very close from the town center. The quality of the breakfast is excellent with fresh products. We had a small problem during the first night in our room with triple beds, so we spoke about it to Stephan at the reception and Stephan decided to give us 2 new rooms (1 double + 1 single) which were very good. So overall an excellent experience and we highly recommend this hotel for future stay with special Thanks to Stephan for his kindness and professionalism!

Fantastic hotel, wonderful friendly happy staff, beautiful spacious rooms and very clean, comfortable beds, nice and warm atmosphere, breakfast is amazing. Definitely recommend this hotel, close to the main hbf, close walking distance to everything. Wonderful stay. Would give more stars if possible ????

For me the hotel is just perfect. Is an excellent hotel, renovated and modern. The staff was really friendly, welcoming, helpful and cooperative. We had some issues with a reservation thru our agency, but they helped us and even upgraded our rooms. Comfortable rooms. Quiet. Clean rooms. The Breakfast was delicious. Perfect location - everything is close by walking. I had a great experience.

Great location but overall was not satisfied with my stay here.

First off the service was excellent. The front desk was nice and accommodating and was patient with us and the children.

But the good experience ends there. Our room was on the 5th floor with 1 tiny window that was blocked by stairs and a roof window that would only stay open a crack. Thus our room had not ventilation. No cross breeze. It was just hot and stuffy. The room came with 3 fans which didn’t really do anything. I put the fans in the window, which didn’t fit, so they hung precariously. Around 4am the room finally cooled down.

The decor was very dated as well as the music in the dining room.

Parking is 15 euros for 24 hours and there is very limited street parking.

Breakfast was typical and had bread, yogurt, eggs, etc. My favorite was the quark with mixed fruit.

The WiFi was abysmal. Literally I could not even open Google Maps on WiFi even though the access point was right outside our door. I had to use my mobile connection instead.

To end on a positive note when we arrived the shower was broken. We told the front desk and they fixed it immediately. So once again good scores on service.

Great place to stay if you go around in Nürnberg and cities around it. Close to the main station and old city is easily accessible with a small walk.

Nice hotel but really loud at night as it is in the station district. Was hard to sleep... No AC in the rooms. But nice staff!
