Great restaurant in Nuremberg. Located in a cellar with nice arch’s. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly and professional. I’ve enjoyed my time there.

This restaurant is probably over a hundred years old. The restaurant is under an old building. It is in an underground cellar below a historical building. The stairs at the entrance are steep with dimmed lights. The place is decorated in the #medieval style, with a set of knight armour by the door.

Our waiter was busy all the time, but he’s obviously skilled and knew well what he was doing. We ordered three dishes: "tartar vom selbstgebeizten wildlachs mit salatbukett und butter" (salmon tartare), "schweinebraten" (roasted pork with potato dumplings) and "hirschmedallions" (deer medallions). The salmon tartar was way too salty. The other two dishes were ok. I think our friends ordered better dishes than ours.

Overall it’s a fun experience in a cool atmosphere.

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets is this underground restaurant. It’s just beside Loccitane and you will have to step inside and go down a dimly lit stairs.

Behold the smell of good food awaits you and the servers, despite being short handed, welcomes you warmly! Joanna, Chris and another lady server were attentive all throughout our meal. Splendid !

The braised meats with spatzle and sauce was very well braised. The salad and soups are a must try esp the liver soup for those craving for something warm and soupy.

Pork shoulder was good if you like the extra collagen and the potato dumpling here was the best I have tried so far. It doesn’t feel heavy or starchy.

End off the day with pipping hot home made Apple strudel with ice cream and sauce. It was the best meal at reasonable prices! Went back twice for our craving!

What a unique experience. We really enjoyed our dinner there with our family. It was in an underground cellar with wonderful arches and the atmosphere was so fantastic. You had no idea the city was above you.

Visiting the Messe for few days, we ended up eating here 2 times: really good food is served by very kind waiter. The entry is tough for me as tall NL, steep stairs and low ceiling, but very worth the effort: good ambiance in the old style cellar. Need to come back here with my wife.

Amazing place. Food was awesome and great house beer as well. Well worth the stop here. Be sure to book as it is quite popular.
