I don't know what some of these other people are complaining about, I didn't experience any problems here. When I went it was late, emptier, and I was alone so I got great service. The klausterbrau beer they serve is one of the best I've ever drank! Would definitely go back if I'm ever in town.

I'm only in Nürnberg about once a year, and eating here has always been one of the highlights of the visit. Reading the recent reviews I was a bit concerned that their quality might have dropped - to my relief I found that not to be the case. I had the venison, which is not always easy to get right, but here it is perfect. My friends too were impressed with their dishes. The service might not be the most efficient, but they are always friendly. This the kind of place where you don't mind hanging out for a while, a beautiful comfy setting just right for this medieval city. So bring time, enjoy the food and the beer and leave satisfied and happy.

We went there around 9 pm on a Friday night and the place was empty. Should have been the first hint... we were the only customers for an hour and they still didn't get our order right. We ordered some vegetarian dishes and within a few minutes after the order we heard them going through the freezer and then they started the microwave. It's not just about the microwave itself, but also about them not caring at all that we heard. After they realized that they brought us one of the dishes without cheese, they apologized and gave us Schnaps. Still the worst restaurant I have ever been to in Bavaria...
Cannot recommend this place AT ALL.

It's one of those places in Nuremberg we ALWAYS go to, during Brau. Good beer, great pork, cozy and nice- what else would one want?
