Very reasonable and very clean. The rooms are standard for a three star hotel but upgraded by some German standards. The front desk is incredibly friendly and the breakfast area is well designed. Fresh scrambled eggs and smoky bacon are a bonus. Beers are available in the lobby and the mini bar is stocked with a good variety of goodies. The location is killer if you’re looking to explore the altstadt.

Had a perfectly pleasant stay at Hotel Elch. The location is excellent for walking the city, it is very close to beautiful historic streets and all the main attractions. The room was clean and cozy. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful - sharing where to get good local food. It was a great, small hotel experience.

Nice room, good service (even in English) and a parking lot just across the street.
All the photos are exactly what we experienced.
Siteseeing beautiful locations all under 5 minutes from the hotel, all walking.
The airconditioning in the room is a portable one, so more sound and less cooling capacity than usual. But it didn't matter for me.

By far the best and most affordable hotel I visited while in Germany. Highly recommend.

We stayed in Hotel Elch’s convenient, comfortable, and clean apartment style #2 with kitchen. It is located just across the street from the main hotel and next door to a hair salon in case you want to step in for a quick wash and blow dry. Love this! The staff of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful! Loved the location!

Under the roof up the creaky top stairs into a clean room. It was hot at the top but otherwise reasonable value

This Hotel takes advantage of travellers who are affected by the dynamic COVID 19 Challenges in Germany because of the regional lock down. Even after multiple attempts to explain to them that we can't travel due to regional lock down, the hotel insisted on charging FULL charges. Absolute robbery and dishonest hotel!
