Nice room, clean and comfortable, good meal. But two smaller issues: 1. the fan in the room is loud, and always working. 2. The queue at the buffet in the morning for breakfast is very crowded. Half an hour for waiting when the hostel is fully booked is too much. Who wants to wait so long?

It's a youth hostel in part of a castle, but inside, is perfectly modern. They have rooms with private bathrooms available if you book early enough, and they also have shared-bath rooms, that you can split with friends. Because of its nature, and location, and amenities, it's a very popular destination for school groups. So don't be put off if you end up sharing your stay with hundreds of boisterous youngsters on school trips.

The breakfast they packed in advance for my group that had to leave early in the morning before breakfast hours was up to standard u0026 quite satisfactory.

The staff is friendly and accommodating, but also busy handling the hundreds of guests they deal with daily, so don't be frustrated if it takes a few minutes to get taken care of. They do a good job but are not over-staffed.

The views from the upper floors are worth the walk-up, or the wait for the elevator. Yes, there is an elevator. ;-)

Great location and great setting in a historical castle. Everything nice and new. Special thanks for evening bar, and free sparkling water from the tap all day long. Towels included in the rate what is rare in youth hostels in Germany.

We stayed here with our 5 year old child. It was an amazingly good time. The breakfast was delicious. There were lots of families with children. If was clean. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and quiet enough. What a great experience.

A special place with all the sense of the word. Amazing location, friendly and very professional staff. Clean, spacious, nice view and an excellent experience to sleep in a medieval castle, renovated and practical. Rather calm as a youth hostel, rules apply. The only drawback is the wifi that is only available at the ground floor with no wifi access in the rooms, yet even this has its advantages...

This is a most welcoming, though pricy, Jugendherberge. Worth the money. Very nice family rooms. Food is excellent. Kids under 6 eat for free. Breakfast included. Bright and modern space. Modern family living style. Not a family focused Jugendherberge, but a culture focused. Located in a castle. Outstanding experience for kids. All major sights of Nuremberg in walking distance.

Best hostel in Town. Really clean, friendly staff, family enviroment. The rooms are completely new with bath in every room, lockers. Breakfast ist just wonderfull, so many things to choose from... I really loved that time of the day. Nights can you have a beer in the bar, Wifi is excellent in the room and in the lobby. I really recommend this hostel.
