A little souvenir shop (their main store) is what I describe this one, and it's quite typical of German souvenir shops catering to (international) tourists, I'd say. However, this store is filled to the brim with what you can normally expect from any German souvenir stores and with some local specialties (I don't recommend to go in this shop with large backpack--you'll find it very difficult to maneuver around with it). I noticed suggested one-way arrows on the floor--I think most folks observed it. They sell: biersteins and krüge, cuckoo clocks (not great selections--you really need to go to the Black Forest region for real good ones IMHO), nutcrackers, rauchmann, Christmas ornaments, pewter (painted [and unpainted] Franconian zins) and crafted items, pottery of all kinds and souvenirs. Here's the interesting and proud store history from their website:
Der Topferladen or "The Pottery Shop" was founded in Nuremberg in 1865 and has been family-owned business ever since. Stove tiles and crockery, made and fired by the family themselves, were the first items available in the store thus "pottery shop." From 1900 the pottery was added. In the years that followed, the family opened several branches in Nuremberg, all of which were destroyed during the World War II. So until 1955 the sale took place at market stalls, before a shop could be opened again in 1955. This is still in the Heilig-Geist-Spital today. Today's main store directly at the Schönen Brunnen opened its doors in 1959. In 1980 the third shop was added, which is also located on the main market in the IHK building. The family business has been run by Marko Wagner since 1990.
If you take your time, I'm sure you can find something you might be interested in. Prices are moderate to high depending on your item. Obviously, large nutcrackers, Christmas town buildings and houses, and miniature crafted items are somewhat expensive. Good hunting!
