2022: Back in Munich 5 years later, and of course visited the place once again. What can I say - my original review is still valid! :) Added a few more photos as well!

2017: 15 years ago, while working in Munich in this area, I've been visiting this place very often. Now, back for a few days, it was such a pleasure to come here again. Amazing, super quality Italian dishes, wonderful decor, and still the same family running this place!
Best Italian restaurant ever!

Extremely delicious food (had scallops as starter, then osso buco) and very good service (we were treated like family, even though I visited for the very first time, and even though the restaurant was fully packed).

I had the most horrible pizza experience here. Got myself a quartto formaggio pizza and though the gorgonzola was quite strong there was a funky taste to the mozzarella and dough. I also asked a colleague to taste it and he had the same reaction like me. When I said to the owner that I cannot eat it they took it away while mumbling that they don't see what can be wrong with it although they refuse to taste it. 10 mins later I get another quattro formaggio with 2x as much cheese. The result was the same for me as I could not finish it. The staff was friendly, but I definitely don't recommend eating there.

My new favorite Italian place in Munich!!! Food was absolutely amazing u0026 staff was friendly in the typical Italian way. Got great recommendations for wine u0026 as I was by myself, just the right amount of appetizer u0026 main dish!!!

Try the octopus with celery appetizer; never had tried this combination; it was excellent... pic attached ;-)

Ive eaten here plenty of times in the past year...So, I think its time for a review. Visit Al Paladino, and you wont be disappointed. The restaurant is located in a vibey corner opposite Heimeranplatz u-bahn. The food is always good and very consistent unlike some other Italian restaurants in the area. Simply love this place :)
