Summary: good classic cuisine but missing some spikes.

Ambiente: the unique Tantris experience. A must see
Service: professional and personal at the same time.
Food: classic dishes but across all dishes salt, herbs and acidity is missing. Eg I had to ask for fleur de sel to fine tune the foie gras

I visited Tantris after renovation break on 3rd weeked since reopening. Ordered full 8 course 295 € Menu without Wine Tasting.
Get ready for a new Tantris experience in familiar environment.
The food and staff is nothing similar to Tantris before Covid time. I miss old Tantris where all wishes of customer were complied.
The food was beautifuly prepared, taste was good (except Truffle Ravioli, which were to die for - the best truffle dish of my life) until the dessert part.
The sweet finale, which wasn´t sweet at all, vague sweet taste of milk rice with salty aspects under it complementing truffles slices on top. We did not finish the dessert and refused to take second one, which wasn´t sweeter neither - said the Waiter. There was no effort to offer us some satisfying sweet alternative at all. Can you imagine to leave high-end restaurant without a proper sweet Dessert? The Desserts were deducted from the total bill.
The Staff as well as Management is not really open to justified criticism. We were told to find another restaurant if we dont like it.
Well, I wish you dear new Tantris a successful time, so you don´t have to fight to keep the customer coming back, we will give it one more chance in 6 months, if the experience will be similar, I will spend 1000 € rather somewhere else where they care about my wishes and opinions without perceiving me just as a cash cow.

In my opinion one of the two best restaurants in Munich.
We had a tasting menu for valentine's day and it was worth it!
Of course not cheap, but you pay what you get!! And quality of food is amazing!
Table service could be a little bit improved, being a 2 Michelin stars restaurant.

Excellent food, presentation and space. Service was amazing over the 4 hour meal. They most certainly deserve their 2 Michelin stars everything was will orchestrated. Wine list was world class. Menu is in the pictures.

Ineffiably delectable (beyond words).

Protip; 6 or 8, the wine pairing is great; DO IT. BIG kudos to the Sommelier! Overall, the service is nothing short of exquisite.

Very, very good overall!

Such a fun restaurant! Don’t get put off by the decor the restaurant is 39 years old and is embracing her 70’s roots. From the wait staffs uniforms using the brightly colored fabric found throughout the restaurant and most especially in the women’s bathroom to the red dining room, your senses (all of them) are about to be awakened. This place must have been over the top in 70’s. While the decor seems locked in time, the food certainly is not. The tasting menu, I highly recommend along with the wine pairing.

We had an exquisite dining experience with one exceptional course after another. The service was impeccable with fine attention to detail.
