Absolutely recommendable and you get this together with the entrance fee for the Glyptothek. A great collection of ancient everyday objects very well presented. The ancient jewelry is absolutely breathtaking and gives a great expression of the craftmanship back then. A must-see.

World-famous collection of antique pottery, jewelry, tools, etc, etc. Featuring the violent confrontation between Greeks and Persians.
Depicted on BBC's "Treasures of Ancient Greece".
Mind blowing ????.

A nice collection of pottery, jewels and decoration items mostly from Ancient Greece and Roman periods. Relatively small but the ticket includes also the Glyptothek (building right across the street) so very worth the visit! Don’t forget to check the collection located at the basement of the building

Bog rooms with few vases in them. Definitely one of the worst museums in hole München. The Staff not nice and very rude and arrogant!!!! They should be fired for a totally bad comunications with the visitors!! On Sunday entry for 1 Euro but still to much. Dont waist your time here!!! Because of some event it was free entry, but to prevent seeing to much they closed the etruscan part.

This is total fraud! They do not accept card payment, take your last euro coins and then you are asked to leave your backpack in lockers which work only with euro coins! And rude guy doesn’t let you go to museum with backpack in hand. So I paid ticket for seeing nothing!

In fact, it is a very interesting museum, there are many different historical exhibits, among which are ceramic, gold and glass goods. Statues, and so on and so forth. And it so happened that we got to the museum when the entrance ticket cost only 1 euro(Sunday). So in general, I would even give the highest rating ... but I can’t ... and I don’t want to. Why? In the museum you need to leave a backpack and outerwear at the entrance. And this is either simple open hangers at the entrance (not boxes like in other museums where we were), for which no one is responsible, or you need to pay 1 euro to the cloakroom worker. One damn euro to hang a jacket, and no alternative. I was enraged by the whole vacation in Germany with that “pay 1 euro here, pay 1 euro there”.

Located in Konigsplatz is the Staatliche Antikensammlungen or State Collections of Antiquities, focused on Bavaria's collection of Greek, Etruscan and Roman artefacts from antiquities. There's some truly high quality exhibits on display, but pity there's very little English save for the description of each hall. The descriptions for the exhibits are in German only.

Would've been 5 star if there was any English. Luckily, I visited on a Sunday when the entrance fee is only €1.
