What a nice place. Super friendly staff. We tried a few Sardinian specialties and wines. Everything was delicious, made with care, and presented beautifully. I can’t wait to go back.

If visiting Munich near the west side of the English Garden, the Osteria Sarda is a great little place for Italian fare that is inspired by the food of Sardinia. I ordered the special: goldbassenfillet vom grill mit spargel ragout under kartoffen and my wife ordered the scampi linguine. We both agreed that it was way above average Italian fare. The European bass was grilled skin-on and seemed at first quite salty until I realized that the Sardinian style is to heavily salt the skin before grilling skin-side down. This makes the skin very crispy and salty while adding the unctuous flavor of the collagen to the perfectly-cooked fillet. The skin was like salty, crunchy bits of flavor that balanced the mild, flaky, white fillet. The asparagus ragout was almost my favorite element of the dinner-flavorful and not overcooked. Best meal of our trip so far.

This is an excellent restaurant - simple recipes, but made out of high-quality ingredients. It's very small (more like a bistro), but has a lovely atmosphere. I was slightly distressed that it was basically empty when I visited it, but that might have been an artefact of the weekday (Thursday) - at least I hope so, because this restaurant deserves to be well-frequented. :)

I was actually referred here by the kind staff of a different restaurant nearby(!) (as they were out of food for the evening when I reached them), saying that they'd heard good things about Osteria Sarda - and now I'm in the lovely position to confirm that the food here really is great.

Delicious lunch with tasty Aperol and great espressi. Owners are Italian, restaurant super clean and new, lovely atmosphere. Nice and friendly staff

This restaurant has been suggested by the receptionists of the hotel I actually am. I tried it and I go there everyday till my departure. Fantastic food, fantastic people who works in and fantastic restaurant itself. Super!
