I attended an English speaking tour. This is a must see exhibit to understand how Jews have rebuilt in a city where they had been exterminated decades before. Great architecture with symbolism. I highly recommend as a tour to get the full benefit.

It's the religious centre in Munich, which could only be built against a lot of antisemitism and resistance. It's a high security area because of that, as Munich is still dealing with right wing antisemitism. A beautiful spot situated right in the city center. There is a nice Cafe right next to it. Apart from that a rather quiet and peaceful spot worth visiting and also remembering the darker history of Munich.

Munich benefits from its well preserved cityscape, which largely did not become victim to ugly building excesses in the 1960s and 1970s. Nevertheless, this would get boring without the occasional insertion of a taste of modern and more creative architecture. Ohel Jakob Synagoge provides this and more. It gives an interesting insight into Jewish life - also with the adjacent museum. Definitely worth visiting for tourists and residents.

The museum is very nice and has a place for prayers, a reception hall for tourists and translators.
