An interesycollection of ancient artefacts in the Typically Munich collection. The exhibition reg. Munich and NS-times in Germany is also interesting and impactful. Overall - a nice place to spend 2-3 hours on a rainy day.

I found the migration and nightlife exhibitions very interesting. The nightlife exhibition is only available until May 1st, 2022 so make sure you see it before that.

Information plates for "Typically Munich" are only in German but at least they provide booklets in English as a substitute. The staff is quite polite and helpful.

Entry is €2 for students.

The musium lacks behind in quality to other mediums of its kind, its very static and unappealing. But it does contain interesting historical information about the history of the city, most important being the history of Nationalism and the Nazis in Munich, and their victims.

Entrance fee is quite reasonable / low.

Stadtmuseum, whose name means "city museum", is also a museum that lives up to its name. It is located between Burgplatz and the Rhine Tower.

Inside, there are works telling the history and culture of Düsseldorf since its establishment in 1288, and there are sections from modern life.

It is open every day between 11:00 and 18:00, except Mondays. You have to pay 4 Euros for entrance, but if you buy a Düsseldorf Card, the entrance is free. If you have too much time, you can stop by.Stadtmuseum, whose name means "city museum", is also a museum that lives up to its name. It is located between Burgplatz and the Rhine Tower.

The Muenchner Stadtmuseum (Munich Municipal Museum) is located at St. Jakobs-platz in the Old Town. Opening hours are 10am to 6pm (Tues - Sun) but closed on Monday. Entry is €7 per person and includes an audio guide which is useful for better understanding items on display throughout the museum.

We visited during a recent trip to Munich and spent two hours exploring the four floors of permanent and temporary exhibitions spread out over four floors of the museum.

The first two floors includes the 'Typical Munich' exhibition which includes a blend of city artefacts, artwork and randoms pieces of local history. Most notable to us where the Mariensäule column monument putti statues.

There is an interesting photography gallery on the second floor with historical shots of the city. Perhaps most impressive was the in-depth puppetry and fairground amusement exhibitions which filled the third floor. Lots on display here that was very interesting to see. The forth floor musical instruments exhibition was quite impressive as well.

Overall, we enjoyed out time at Muenchner Stadtmuseum, finding this to be a museum worth spending a couple hours exploring if you want to learn more about the city and its history.

Interesting and eclectic displays of Munich history and culture. Only downside was the lack of information in English. But worth the time regardless.
