very affordable admission (€2.50 for kids, €3 for adults), authentic pieces of local history, lots of old trains and busses you're allowed to touch and board and the information about the exhibits is available in English. the ground floor is wheelchair accessible, there are very friendly elderly gentlemen who know everything about the public transport system and there are bathrooms and a cafe on site.

Well worth a visit. Been wanting to go here for ages and was exited to see it was open during my visit to Munich. Incredibly affordable. Staff were incredibly passionate and knowledgable about the trams and I enjoyed chatting with them about the trams. A very kind gentleman even opened one up and let me ring the bell :D highlight of my year!!! Giftshop had an ecclectic mix of items was tempted to get a tram sign but didnt think I could take it with me on the train back to England very easily :( they offer free rides in old buses and trams to the city centrw in certain days which is well worth hanging around for!

Bus and train enthusiasts will absolutely love it! Interesting in any case to learn more about the history of public transport in Munich. Loads of friendly (former) employees are present and take you on a journey through the decades. Absolutely recommended! ❤️

Average. Nothing detailed. Model railway was closed. Model train available but no tracks.

We were here for the International Precious Metal Show. It’s nice that they use this museum to host the show and left some old trains and trucks as decor. The place was clean and staff seems friendly. There was a couple of places inside to get food and drinks as outside of the museum, the closer et restaurant is about a ten minute walk.

Our company hosted a large event at MVG in 2019. They space was perfect for our needs. The trains built on our theme and we were able to incorporate some of the museum elements into our program. I'm a bit of a train nerd myself having a teenage son so it was really cool to check out all of the history in the building. And the building itself is a piece of Munich history. Absolutely worth the visit.

Great experience for Tram enthusiasts. I recommend taking a guided tour which is included in the price. Ou guide explained all details based on his profound knowledge of tram history, and this goes far beyond what you can read on the signs when you just walk around the old trams and busses.
