An extremely unpleasant experience, won't recommend to Asians.
The moment when I stepped in the hotel, the old lady at the reception yelled at me "Are you Chinese?" I said "I'm from Hong Kong." Then she insisted it's China, and started complaining China made the world miserable with COVID, which I personally agree with, coz' I suffer from the pandemic situation as well. But she made me feel like I'm the COVID virus myself, and she warned me to wear masks all the time. She, however, was wearing a very worn-out mask.
In fact we Hongkongers don't have local infected cases for months, our population is 7.5million but the total infected cases is only 1.5% of the infected cases here in Munich. We have a much higher hygiene standard that we wear masks whenever we're outside, it's kind of funny when she tried to lecture us on hygiene. Also, Hong Kong didn't invent the COVID thing, perhaps some labs in Wuhan did. China brought SARS and COVID to Hong Kong, for two times, we can't be more furious about the situation.
After several rounds of complaining, she finally gave me the keys and tried to act happy and friendly, but I still feel quite uncomfortable of her quick-tempered and weird attitude. Apparently she's not the owner, but if your hotel really have a problem with Asians/ people looks like Chinese, why don't you cancel my booking? Then I don't have to go through all these drama and had a very unpleasant first day in Munich.
Eventually I decided to check out the hotel a week before my scheduled date of check out, as I really don't know how to deal with someone so moody. I lived right next to the reception and I heard her talking on the phone very loudly all the time. The hotel is not convenient at all and the room is small. I regretted booking the hotel for a long stay of two weeks.
