I wouldn’t stay again or recommend staying at this particular Moxy. Was pretty disappointed with the experience and not like any experience I’ve had with Marriott. (This was also my first time staying at any Moxy hotel).
.) Location: not a good option if you plan to mostly be in the hustle and bustle (tourist area). It’s about a 40 minute walk to the major attractions. The metro is easy to use but if you’re wanting to be within close walking distance, this is not a good option.
.)The staff was friendly, the bartender made good drinks, but the overall feel was almost like a nicer hostel.
.) I requested a face towel and it’s not offered, so bring your own if you need a face/wash towel.
.) The room we stayed in (336) was supposed to be an upgrade with more space and a little sitting area, however, there was no furniture in it as shown in the pictures online…only the bed and the small sleeper sofa (no coffee table, extra chair, etc), just a large empty room. And I’m not particularly fond of the decor style. It’s like they’re trying to be hip/cool but it’s done in a very cheap fashion and looks incomplete.
.) Overall, it just wasn’t for me. But it was clean, friendly staff, and the beds were an ok comfort level (not the most comfortable) so I give it 3 stars.
