Affordable for student, not so much for external visitors. It has a wide variety of dishes (including vegan, vegetarian, etc). The building itself is interesting and it has been recently renovated.

The mensa is huge and has always a very wide choice. The is also a smaller cafeteria where you can grab food faster. There is plenty of room for sitting and eating in peace, though it can get extremely busy and loud. And in summer there is no air conditioning, so I would go for a table on the terrace!

The Cafe place is quite nice, but the Mensa itself it's not very nice. The food feels like a surprise box. I tried their food a couple of times in the beginning of my studies, but well, I would say that 80% times the food was horrible, 15% just okay, 5% it had some flavor there ( it was a veggie soup, by the way, try it). They have vegan and vegetarian options, so this is quite handy for a part of people who cares about it.

I would recommend you to prepare your food for the week and bring with you rather than spend about 3-6 Euro here a day. And yes. It is possible to offer healthy or delicious meals at affordable prices. If you are hungry and do not want to eat at McDonald's this can be an emergency option during a busy day at university.

The toilets are super smelly. I get it...A lot of people go there. But every time the toilet smelled super bad, I wish they did something about it and it would be also nice that people don't throw hand towel on the floor.

The highlights for me are the cafe, which has free Wi-Fi for students and a lot of tables and chairs. Unfortunately, I haven't tried the coffee there yet and the wall full of WG and jobs ads.

The food is for a good price, one can select from different varieties and qualities. Still, it is canteen food, so one should not have high expectations. It is often busy between 12.00 and 13.00.

Reasonable selection of vegan food, excellent desserts. And the most inexpensive I have seen in Munich! Wish there were greater variety of vegan food.
