I found this special cafe by accident in the market and I was very happy. Dear staff; if you want, you can sit on sacks that used to contain coffee while the life of the market takes place in front of you. The coffee is very delicious and the place has a special atmosphere. You must visit this place if you are in Munich, love coffee and lively markets.

I don’t say this lightly but they make some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. You don’t need to know much more. If you bring kids, they’ll be entertained by the staff making funny faces and serving free „kids cappuccino.“

Coffee itself was just above average. It was way overpriced, queues were stupid long and the staff were quite rude. I was visiting from Ireland and don’t speak German, but I was made to fell very uncomfortable and unwelcome based on this.

Very nice coffee. There was a big line so I assumed people loved it, so I got in line too. It did not dissapoint.

I have been getting my coffee from this place for a long time. The quality of coffee never disappoints me. After a long week at work, picking up a nice coffee from here on Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings is one of the best things to wind down and enjoy life with a cup of great coffee.

I don’t love their roasting style as it mutes out nuances in the aroma of the coffee. But probably the best roaster in Munich specialised in doing dark roasts.

We found the Kaffeerosterei at Viktualienmarkt through google when seeking out coffee shops in the area. They receive many positive responses from locals who review here on google so we decided to give them a try during a recent visit to the city.

We found a queue formed up outside Kaffeerosterei when we arrived. This is usually a good thing when it comes to food and drinks. We ordered double espressos and a florentine, finding everything tried to be very good. Espresso was strong but not too bitter, it was smooth and flavourful. The florentine was the perfect sweet complement to the espresso, making for a great afternoon coffee and snack break.

There are some standing tables a couple places to take a seat and enjoy your coffees and florentines.

In the end, we liked our stop here and would gladly return for another round of doppios, to try their other coffee drinks and to enjoy more florentine slices.
