First of all, I am 40 years old and I travelled many time in my life, spent hundreds of nights in hotels, and this is the first time I do a negative review like that. This is because I think Ibis and Accor where particularly to blame on that occasion. I made a reservation at this hotel on Ibis website on April 13th for a stay from May 11th till May 12th. The day of my arrival at 19h10, the hotel sent me an email stating I cancelled my room (which I never did, at that time I had just landed at the Munich airport with 2 hours delay). When I called the desk to understand what happened, the reason given was that I did not confirmed the room before 19h00, and this condition was clearly stated in my booking. I told them I was coming, but obviously the hotel was full and there were nothing they could do. The problem is nothing like that was stated in my booking. Small detail, it was during a big international conference, so they must have made a nice profit thanks to this arrangement with the rules. I had to find an hotel room, it was extremely expensive and very far away. I sent an email to the hotel to complain and ask for reparation, but they did not care for an answer. I hope this review will make you think before you book an hotel at Ibis. They don't care for their customers, and won't hesitate to make as much money they can on your back.
