Beautiful Hotel the center of Munich. We found the hotel clean and quiet. All staff were friendly. The breakfast is outstanding. The buffet has many selections. Highly recommended.

Don't believe the glowing reviews on this one. The place has definitely seen better days. On the good side, the beds were comfortable, it was quiet, and the breakfast was ok. Beyond that, the carpeting was at best - tired. It was ancient, drab, and felt so gritty. Everything needed a fresh coat of paint. We were looking for charm, we got a German cockroach on our desk. It isn't close to city center either. So don't fall for that. Definitely keep looking.

We booked and stayed in a "family room". The room we received worked well- it was spacious and suited our needs. However, it was nothing like what is shown on the website. The suite was located in the basement with its own entrance and was sparsely and minimally decorated. The bathroom was dated and very small. But there were two fairly large bedrooms so we had quite a bit more room than expected. Because we didn't spend much time at the hotel, it didn't bother us too much but otherwise it would have been disappointing. Breakfast was fine- nothing special. Other than going upstairs to have breakfast, it felt more like renting a basic apartment in the city.

Hotel staff are friendly but having come here several times over the last few years I feel the quality is slipping. Fridge wasn't emptied from the previous guests, large cockroach and spider in the room, broken curtain, toilet takes a really long time to refill (a problem when you have a family), cleaner came into our room unexpectedly, parts of breakfast runs out quickly if you don't get there early. A truck came at midnight to load dirty laundry. Depending on the room the mattresses are firm or worn out.
Nothing the hotel can change, but I also feel like the area isn't as quiet anymore. None of these things are deal breakers for me but it's also not a cheap hotel.

We arrived at the hotel room and found the television not working, the bed pillows beyond wornout and only light curtains unsuitable for a bedroom in our opinion. The only available member of staff didn't know where to find extra pillows and had no idea how to fix the broken TV. The hotel manager was unavailable. We checked out that same day and found us another hotel in Munich.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff very helpful, and the rooms adequate, the breakfast excellent. The showers are tiny.

Stayed here way back in ‘92 and it was wonderful. Great location, clean and updated rooms and quaint feel. I’m sure it has only gotten better as the years have gone by and I can not wait to return once the pandemic has passed and safe travels are once again possible.
