My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon. The service was excellent! Our hostess when we checked in was very welcoming, and allowed us to check in early. The lobby is very cool, with unusual but fun seating, and the bar is open 24/7 apparently. Good beer selection, and good food available. It's right next to the local train station, so walking there from your train takes all of maybe 4 minutes. The street its located on is quiet, and doesn't see much through traffic, so we were able to leave our rental bikes out front of the hotel and they were still there every morning. The elevator is very cool, makes you feel like your on a ski lift. If your looking to stay in Munich for a few days, this is the place. Staff is awesome, and the location is great! We will definitely be back in the future.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Great location- super close to the Hauptbahnhof (5-minute walk). Easy access to transportation for getting around the city. There were restaurants, pharmacies, and everything else in between nearby. The front desk staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Checking in was a breeze- no issues. I received a coupon for 5 euros for either the bar or breakfast which was really nice. I used it for their breakfast, which is quite lovely might I add. There was a lot of thought put into the aesthetic/ decor. It was comfy, cute, and cozy. I had a room with a queen-size bed, and it was perfect! I really recommend this hotel whenever you're in Munich. Great customer service and a lovely stay. Thank you to the staff at Hotel Cocoon for a great experience! I hope to make another trip to Munich and stay here in the near future!

Perfect little place for solo travelers very close to the Hauptbahnhof. Okay for couples, but the rooms are small and spare, so I should stress INTIMATE couples. Clean and comfortable. Cozy bar. Good breakfast. Adorable alpine theme throughout. The hosts were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

A great hotel with friendly staff. It’s worth noting that the one main receptionist was not very welcoming on arrival though. The others were generally much more friendly.

They have a lot of drinks, snacks and meals available in case you’re too tired to go somewhere for food.

The biggest downside was that the rooms were dusty, possibly since pets are allowed. This isn’t a great place if you are allergic to dust.

3 Kilburn Deluxe - a month ago

This is a new hotel which opened in June. While the room was nice, the air conditioning in the room was poor- we were unable to sleep as the room was too hot for 2 nights in a row. The control didn’t work, I’m guessing the air conditioning wasn’t strong enough to bring temperature down. You will have yi tell the staff your want room cleaning otherwise it will NOT be arranged for you- I actually found this strange, I paid for a hotel room but I have to ASK for room cleaning? For eco-friendly purposes hotels could always ask guests to display do not disturb sign to opt out of cleaning, but not like this.

Breakfast was excellent, good choice of hot and cold food and fruits.

It was OK, not great. Breakfast was very good. I love cappuccinos and fresh "dark bread" and they have plenty. Location is iffy. I didn't know that the area by the train station is kind of run-down-ish and sad. On the other hand, it was convenient. Our room was small but quiet.

My family and I didn't even stay at this hotel. There is a bar on ground level and the experience was great. We wanted to stop by for a quick drink and Sebastian was amazing.
