We had the worst experience because we were treated with horribly rude behavior that we have never encountered before.
Our reservation was for three nights and cost €830 with breakfast.
My husband went for breakfast at 9:00 in the morning and found the absolute basics, stuff that low cost pensions have and not hotels that charge €280 per day. At 9:40 when I went down for breakfast with my child there was no bread, no cheese, no fruit. But that wasn't the worst part. I first politely asked a lady to at least bring me bread for the little one, and she replied that she couldn't because it would take half an hour. In my justified discomfort, a 'gentleman' who, as I was informed, was the owner of the hotel, intervened and told me 'if you don't like it, leave'. After the shock I asked to speak with the gentleman in question but they told me that he didn't have time to speak with me. Instead, they sent me the hotel manager who tried to justify the previous behaviour by telling me that this is how Bavarians are.
In my next chance encounter with the owner, he initially pretended not to remember me, and after expressing my complaints, he started screaming at me in front of my child. There are no words to describe the rudeness of the owner. All staff was generally rude, not once did I hear good morning from reception.
Since I was with my child, I couldn't find a last minute hotel available so we had to stay. Of course they took away the cost of breakfast, which we never saw and never ate. It was the least they could do. But for me an apology would be more important than that.
Don't give your money to rude and ungrateful people. There are much nicer hotels in the center of Munich and at an even better price.
